Dawg Ball is a winter hitting and mindset development operation based in Wisconsin. We take an education-focused approach, using an easy-to-follow format that gives hitters simple yet specific tools to support their growth as both players and people.
Everything Dawg Ball offers is built around an interpersonal environment where we can make a lasting impact on each young baseball player. Our goal is to provide athletes with the physical tools—and, just as importantly, the mental tools—they need to give themselves the best opportunity to succeed in the game and in life.
Dawg Ball is transitioning from camps open to the public to a team-focused development model, offering hitting sessions specifically designed for individual teams. This includes high school programs, youth programs, and other baseball organizations.
In addition, Dawg Ball offers a small-group developmental program for 10–12 dedicated players.

Burmeister then returned to his alma mater, Madison College (NJCAA), where he spent three years coaching under Head Coach Mike Davenport. In 2019, he was named the NJCAA Assistant Coach of the Year by the ABCA/Baseball America. He joined the Colorado Rockies organization in 2020, beginning his professional baseball coaching career.
During the offseason, Burmeister lives in Black Earth, Wisconsin. Away from baseball, he enjoys spending time with his dogs, watching movies, listening to music, and exploring new restaurants.
He is extremely proud of what has been built with Dawg Ball Camps and the impact it continues to have on young players.
Tyler Burmeister joined the University of North Dakota in the fall of 2017 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director of Student-Athlete Development, where he oversees the personal, professional, and leadership development of UND student-athletes.

“Tyler, my brother, has a passion for helping young people succeed—not just as athletes, but as people. He is an excellent teacher, he is selfless, and I’m so excited to have him teaching our young Dawg Ballers. He has helped me tremendously with my own mindset development, and I can’t wait for him to do the same for everyone who joins Dawg Ball.”

Nick Gile signed with the Colorado Rockies organization in December 2022 after completing his collegiate baseball career at Illinois State University earlier that year. Following a challenging junior season, Nick made several key adjustments that helped lead to an All-Conference season in the Missouri Valley Conference, during which he hit .284 with 9 home runs and 14 doubles.
After going undrafted in the 2022 MLB Draft, Nick continued pursuing his professional baseball career by playing in the MLB Draft League that summer. His persistence paid off when he signed with the Rockies that December. Nick went on to play two seasons of professional baseball in the Colorado Rockies organization.
A native of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Nick played high school baseball at Menomonee Falls, helping the program win back-to-back state championships in 2015 and 2016. He then continued his career at Madison College, where he had two highly successful seasons. His sophomore year was highlighted by a .442 batting average, 8 home runs, 55 RBI, and 21 doubles, earning him First Team All-American honors. Nick also holds Madison College career records for RBI and doubles.
Nick continued his collegiate career at Creighton University in 2020 before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. He later transferred to Illinois State University, where he completed his college career.
Nick is a co-founder of Dawg Ball Camps, and his selflessness and dedication have made a lasting impact on young baseball players throughout Wisconsin. Dawg Ball would not be what it is today without Nick and everything he has poured into the program.
Nick now lives in Colorado but remains an important part of Dawg Ball. He will continue to be involved as an advisor as we work to provide the best possible experience for Wisconsin baseball players and their families.
“Nick and I have spent countless hours together in a batting cage, and I am constantly amazed by the way he attacks life. I’ve learned a lot from him when it comes to dedication, sacrifice, and drive. Being in the trenches with driven people like Nick has played a huge role in the continued learning and evolution of the Dawg Ball hitting philosophy. There isn’t a better person to help carry out the Dawg Ball vision of impacting Wisconsin baseball players in a truly unique, meaningful, and educational way.”
